The process of making art is something I revere. Letting the world fade away as one’s focus narrows on the minute details throughout a piece is meditative. There is something really satisfying about encapsulating a moment of inspiration through the medium of a painting. The sense of permanence- expanding the feeling through various avenues and reliving it in the mind creates a connection to a piece that ties up that block of memory into a neat little bow.
I’m inspired by concepts that mean something to me personally, or offer value to the audience by provoking some type of response, and hopefully, some new idea they can take with them. I respond to the effects of color, light, and atmosphere on the subject..
